CITY MULTI ensures that each room, will have its own requirements met by providing heating and cooling simultaneously. The CITY MULTI system consists of outdoor units connected to a network of up to 32 sleek and compact indoor units and a series of local and systems controllers.

Authentic Local Distributors

All Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners sold through ductless.ca Inc. are authentic and not a grey market imports. All of our units are purchased from local distributors which in turn are supplied from Mitsubishi Electric Heating and Cooling Canada. You can take comfort in knowing that units purchased and installed by ductless.ca Inc. carry extended manufacturer warranties and support and are installed by factory trained professionals.

Specifically Designed For Canada

Many Mitsubishi Electric CITY MULTI systems are available with 575 V power since 2013. A world first and specifically designed for Canada. No more requirements for step-down transformers and up to 30% savings in installation times.

2-pipe System

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology allows CITY MULTI’s revolutionary 2-pipe system to circulate only as much refrigerant as needed for heat transfer between the outdoor and indoor units. VRF systems deliver greater energy and space savings over conventional systems. VRF systems have no refrigerant to water heat loss (as is the case with chiller systems) and no heat loss through lengthy metal ducts (as is the case with ducted air systems). VRF systems recover heat from rooms in cooling mode and redirect it to zones that require heating. This can save up to 50% of energy consumption.

Exclusive Patent-pending

Mitsubishi Electric’s exclusive patent-pending Hyper-Heat Inverter (H²i™) technology delivers heat even when outdoor temperatures drop to -30°C! Levels that are unmatched with the competitors. H2i technology delivers 100% heating capacity when temperatures drop down to -15°C and 75% heating capacity at -25°C (Y-Series Hyper Heat only).

High-speed Cooling And Heating

Most units have Variable Compressor Speed Inverter (VCSi) technology which adjusts the air conditioning capacity in response to demand. This allows Mitsubishi air conditioners to run more efficiently and reduce energy costs. By controlling the compressor rotation speed more precisely, VCSi technology provides high-speed cooling and heating with extra energy savings compared to conventional models.

Independent Zone Control

CITY MULTI’s independent zone control enables simultaneous heating and cooling throughout a single building. Multiple zones within the same building can maintain their own temperature settings independently from each other. Zoning offers maximum comfort and energy savings because you cool and heat each zone only when it is being used or occupied. Each CITY MULTI system can be configured for up to 32 zones within a building. Multiple systems can be integrated to manage and air condition up to 2000 individual zones, all from a single computer.

Mitsubishi offers a wide range of control options for your CITY MULTI system. From local and centralized controllers in each room to Internet-browser based controllers, CITY MULTI lets you easily control and manage systems of any size.

R-410A Ozone-Friendly

Mitsubishi has utilized R-410A which is a zero ozone depleting refrigerant since 2006 for all of their Mr. Slim ductless models in accordance with the Montreal Protocol.
